IntegrityStar UCF Compliance & Ethics Newsletter UCF Compliance & Ethics Newsletter

A Message from Rhonda L. Bishop

Child Abuse Prevention Month, celebrated each year in April, begins in just a few days. As such, we’ve dedicated an article to the UCF Youth Protection Program and provide answers to frequently asked questions in the FAQ section. Additionally, this edition’s Case Corner features an investigation that took place involving a youth program on campus. Take some time to read this information to better familiarize yourself with the requirements of the Youth Protection Program at UCF.

UCF is committed to providing an inclusive environment where all persons can learn and work and participate in the university’s activities and programs. UCF has policies and procedures in place to support this commitment. Information contained in the first article of this edition of the IntegrityStar explains what supervisors and employees need to know regarding reasonable accommodations and the expectations when responding to such a request.

We’ve also included in this edition an overview of University Audit. The office provides services beyond audits that you may find beneficial to your area. Please read this article to learn more about this office. This edition also includes a new section called Privacy Points, where the Director of Privacy Compliance highlights tips to safeguard data, and recognition of a faculty member for her contributions to the university’s Title IX Program.

Thank you all for taking the time to read the IntegrityStar. As always, we welcome your suggestions for topics as well as your feedback. Please write to us at complianceandethics@ucf.edu.
