Recognition

In this Recognition section, we’d like to acknowledge Tania Gutierrez-Catasus in UCF Facilities & Safety for her support of the university’s compliance and ethics program and her efforts in making the university a more inclusive place to learn and work. Over the years Tania has consistently taken the initiative to translate important university notifications and documents from English to Spanish to ensure our Spanish speaking audience is able to fully understand the materials. During the pandemic, Tania proactively translated the COVID-19 Campus Policy to Spanish and has done this with every update made to the policy. Most recently, Tania worked with our office and the Office of Excellence and Operational Support to translate the UCF Compliance and Ethics Culture Survey and the communications for the survey which allows our Spanish speaking audience to fully participate. Tania’s efforts in this area are above and beyond the scope of her responsibilities yet she willingly offers her assistance. All of us here in Compliance and Ethics are so grateful for Tania – she is truly an asset to not just her department and ours, but to the university as a whole. Thank you, Tania, for all of your efforts in supporting a more inclusive place to work and for doing the right thing at UCF.
