Compliance and Ethics Week Banner

Ethical Standards. Everyday Decisions.

Welcome to UCF’s 11th Compliance and Ethics Week awareness campaign. We invite you to complete several activities to be entered into a drawing to win a prize.  Activities must be completed by the end of the day on Friday, November 7, to be eligible for the prize drawings. Prizes will be selected at random, and winners will be notified the week of November 17.

Compliance and Ethics Week has been designated by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) and is observed by many institutions of higher education. This week provides an opportunity to highlight the many topics related to compliance and ethics in a fun and engaging learning manner. If there is a topic you would like to learn more about, please reach out to our office at complianceandethics@ucf.edu.

Training

This year’s training activities are available in Workday and include viewing four short training videos on UCF’s Ethical Standards:

  • Honesty & Integrity Check: Are You on the Path?
  • True North: Navigating Respect & Civility
  • From Compass to Commitment: Navigating Responsibility and Accountability
  • Guided by Principles: Stewardship, and Knightly Decisions

We are also pleased to invite you to join University Compliance and Ethics on Friday, November 7, as we host an in-person training on Ethical Leadership. This training will be led by our very own Rhonda Bishop, Vice President for Compliance, Ethics, and Risk, and Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer.

Ethical choices aren’t always black and white.  In this interactive workshop, we’ll explore:

    • The core principles of ethical decision-making
    • UCF’s framework for thinking ethically
    • Real-world scenarios where “doing the right thing” isn’t so simple

Please note, you must register for this in-person training through Workday prior to attending the session.

Activity

Additionally, this year’s activities feature a Category Climb through Materia. In this challenge, you’ll guess words across a variety of categories using the provided hints.  Don’t worry, every answer can be found right on our website or within the Employee Code of Conduct.

Prize Drawing

For each activity you complete, you’ll automatically be entered into our prize drawing. If you’ve previously completed Ethical Leadership training, there’s no need to retake it to be entered into the prize drawings. You’ll automatically receive credit when you complete any of the other Compliance and Ethics Week activities. Employees who complete all the activities will be entered into the grand-prize drawing. Some of this year’s prize packs include UCF swag such as tumblers, caps, shirts, Bluetooth speakers, laptop bags, towels, and more.

Two lucky grand-prize winners will win an autographed baseball and tickets to a 2026 home baseball game. Thank you, UCF Athletics Association, for donating our grand-prize!

We look forward to you joining us in celebrating Compliance and Ethics Week to reinforce UCF’s shared commitment to ethical behavior.  By participating, you’re not only engaging in fun and informative activities but also contributing to a culture of compliance and ethics at UCF.

Thank you for being a vital part of our university’s commitment to an ethical culture, and for making UCF a “Best place to work and learn!”
