The UCF 2026 Compliance and Ethics Culture Survey is now underway, and I encourage all employees to participate. Your responses are completely anonymous, and your feedback helps leadership better understand the university’s ethical climate. Results from the survey will support data‑driven improvements that enhance transparency, reporting confidence, and overall trust across our campus community. Please take a few minutes to read the article in this edition of the IntegrityStar and click on the survey link located in the March 9 email invitation to participate.

Each year in our Spring edition we include an awareness article in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month, which occurs in April. This year’s article focuses on the importance of self‑assessments within youth programs. These reflective practices support that minors experience safe and developmentally enriching environments when participating in youth programs at UCF.

This edition also includes an article and FAQs highlighting the federal digital accessibility requirements that will take effect this spring. To learn more about the requirements and the services offered by UCF’s Digital Accessibility Lab, please read the article and FAQs.

Additionally, take a second to read the Case Corner section featuring an IntegrityLine report that led to a rapid accessibility fix without the need for a formal investigation. In the Privacy Points section, we revisit the importance of safeguarding sensitive information, especially when supporting minors, students using accommodations, and others who rely on us to handle their information with care. We are also pleased to recognize a staff member for her dedication to digital accessibility.

Thank you for taking the time to read the IntegrityStar. As always, we welcome your suggestions for topics and your feedback. Please write to us at complianceandethics@ucf.edu.
