Today kicks off our 10th Annual Compliance and Ethics Week! Each year, University Compliance and Ethics celebrates the week to promote awareness of various compliance and ethics topics in a fun and engaging way. Participating in these activities also gives you an opportunity to enter the randomly selected prize drawing held after the week’s activities are closed. Please be sure to read the article on Compliance and Ethics Week to learn more about the activities. This edition’s Case Corner section is also related to one of the topics featured in our awareness campaign activities.
I would also like to turn your attention to the article on the 2024 Compliance and Ethics Culture Survey Results. Every two years, University Compliance and Ethics conducts this survey to identify trends and opportunities to improve the ethical culture at UCF. Please read this article for more information on the 2024 trends identified and the office’s next steps. The FAQs of this edition also cover questions and comments received from survey participants.
Finally, this edition’s third article discusses the university’s requirements under the Florida Public Records Law, the Privacy Points introduces you to our newest team member who has joined University Compliance and Ethics in the role of Director, Privacy Compliance, also serving as the university’s HIPAA Privacy and Security Officer. We also recognize two employees for their commitment to a culture of compliance and ethics at UCF.
If you have not already done so, please be sure to respond to the Faculty and Staff Experience Survey to be sure your voice is heard. For more information on the survey, visit the Faculty and Staff Experience Survey website.
