I am pleased to announce that the UCF Compliance and Ethics Culture Survey is now available through April 1. All employees received an email invitation on March 4 to participate in the survey. Your input is very important to us so please take a few minutes to read the article in this edition of the IntegrityStar and click on the survey link located in the March 4 email to participate. The survey is short and should take less than 10 minutes to complete. We will share the results in a future edition of the IntegrityStar, benchmarking the results with the previous surveys we conducted.

Each year in April, and in support of the UCF Youth Protection Program, we honor Child Abuse Prevention Month. We included an article in this edition dedicated to child abuse prevention and invite you to join us in recognizing this important cause by wearing blue this April 1st. It is only fitting that we also recognize in this edition, an employee for her outstanding contributions to the UCF Youth Protection Program. To better familiarize yourself with the signs of child abuse and neglect take some time to read this information.

Also included in this edition is an overview of one of the compliance offices here at UCF, the Athletics Compliance Office. The office is responsible for monitoring and verifying compliance with NCAA requirements, as well as educating the campus community on NCAA rules. Please read this article to learn more about this office, as well as the frequently asked questions section dedicated to Athletic Booster information that may be useful to you.

Take a minute to also read this edition’s Privacy Points, which highlights UCF’s Data Privacy Day celebration on January 26 & 29, and the Case Corner which includes IntegrityLine cases handled by leadership in support of the university’s aspiration to be a best place to learn and work.

Thank you all for taking the time to read the IntegrityStar. As always, we welcome your suggestions for topics as well as your feedback. Please write to us at complianceandethics@ucf.edu.
