Recent Communications on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at UCF

During May and June of this year, a series of communications were distributed by UCF’s leadership. Excerpts of these messages help to serve as a reminder to us all: We must listen and support one another as we continue our charge toward an actively anti-racist, inclusive environment.

Accessibility at UCF

Accessibility refers to the design of physical and digital environments in ways that make them accessible to all people, including people with disabilities. What accessibility really comes down to is ensuring that all people have access to the same information and experiences from the start without needing to make modifications or accommodations.

Armor Up, Knights!

As UCF begins a phased plan to return to campus, we continue to prioritize our community’s health and well-being by following guidance from public health officials and Governor DeSantis’ plan for reopening Florida. This article outlines the university’s approach to re-open campus to students, faculty, staff members, and visitors, as well as the requirements and guidelines for all individuals within the UCF community to follow.

The last few months we’ve witnessed a series of injustices occur across the nation causing great pain for our fellow Knights. The necessary and overdue conversation about racism has followed, with UCF leadership listening, discussing how to become actively anti-racist, more inclusive, and acknowledging that we must do better. In this edition, you’ll also find important information about a safe return to campus in Armor Up Knights! which highlights the COVID-19 Return to Campus Policy and very helpful frequently asked questions for easy reference.

Audit Unlocked

As we navigate through these strange times of COVID-19, being aware of fraud is even more vital. Fraudsters seize every opportunity to commit fraud especially when we are at our most vulnerable.
